FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Dilworth, Minnesota woman is facing a felony theft charge in Fargo after being found with a stolen vehicle.
According to Cass County Court documents, Bridgette M. Hill has been charged with felony theft of property in connection with a stolen car case reported on November 4th.
Investigators say the victim left his vehicle running with the keys inside while making a quick stop at a store. When he returned, the car was gone. Surveillance video from the business reportedly captured the theft.
Five days later, the victim spotted his missing vehicle in another Fargo parking lot and contacted police. Officers arrived and found Hill inside the car, along with her personal belongings.
Hill was taken into custody and booked into the Cass County Jail. The case remains under review by the Fargo Police Department and county prosecutors.
Authorities remind drivers to turn off vehicles and remove keys, even when making short stops, as vehicle thefts of this type are preventable. More safety advice is available through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
