Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A teenager from Dilworth has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, terrorizing, and reckless endangerment following a shooting incident on New Year’s Eve in Fargo.
According to court documents, on December 31st at 10:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of 15th Street South in Fargo after multiple reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers learned that individuals attending a party had engaged in a physical altercation in the hallway of an apartment building.
An occupant from a neighboring unit attempted to break up the altercation between two juvenile males in the hallway and was struck by gunfire. The shooting victim was taken to a local healthcare facility to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Three other victims were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries resulting from the physical altercation. The shooting suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department K9 unit was called to assist in conducting a search of the surrounding areas, which did not yield any results. The Metro Area Street Crimes Unit later located and arrested the juvenile suspect.
The suspect, whose name has not been released due to their juvenile status, now faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, in connection with the shooting.
