DILWORTH, MN – Christopher John Reckard, of Dilworth, Minnesota, is facing three felony charges after allegedly assaulting a woman who had a protection order against him and being found in possession of methamphetamine.
According to court documents, on February 19, 2025, the Dilworth police chief responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence.
The victim told officers that when she answered the door, Reckard:
- Forced his way inside
- Grabbed her by the arms
- Slammed her against a hallway wall
- Threatened her, saying “You know what’s going to happen, right?”
Reckard eventually left the residence, but police later located and arrested him. During the arrest, officers allegedly found 3.7 grams of methamphetamine in his possession.
Felony Charges Filed
Reckard is now facing three felony charges:
- Felony Violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) – With two or more convictions within 10 years
- Felony Domestic Assault
- Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
Reckard remains in custody as he awaits court proceedings.
