Digi-Key Issues Statement on Tragic Loss of Employee to Violence

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Digi-Key in Thief River Falls, Minnesota has released a statement regarding the murder of one of its employees Tuesday night.
digikey has now released the following statement following a murder on the grounds there Tuesday evening quote on Tuesday evening May 9th there was an incident involving two people on digikey grounds that led to the death of unemployed law enforcement has assured us there is no safety risk to team members or the public they have stated they have a 32 year old George Lewis Benitez estromera in custody in connection with the case and digikey is fully cooperating with the investigation this individual has never worked at digikey in any capacity either directly or through a contractor he also never sought nor gained access to our facility the name of the deceased digikey team member has not been released as law enforcement continues to notify family members we express our deepest condolences to the impacted family and colleagues we are providing access to counseling for digikim team member Digi team members who were who are affected by the situation again that was a statement from digikey I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me

  1. The gent probably had mental health issues but I suspect there was a connection? its just sad there was not more security? I know arctic cat, has people who watch cameras but a better system might be like polaris who has a guard shack with 24 hour and multiple guards on duty? maybe digikey should consider?? a couple guards on duty at all times? and one watching the cameras and one patrolling? 25 mins this man was beaten if I heard reports correctly? maybe someone could have intervened? saved a life? I hope the digikey management increases security budget, staffing, and considers some of this?
