Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Bobbi Jo Lacrosse, 50, of Detroit Lakes, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony theft after she was found driving a stolen vehicle.
On June 20, a Callaway police officer was alerted by dispatch that a stolen vehicle was spotted near U.S. Highway 59 and County Highway 14. The officer located the vehicle and conducted a felony stop after pulling it over.
Lacrosse, the driver, admitted she borrowed the car two weeks earlier, promising to return it within a day or week. She said an argument with the vehicle’s owner that day escalated the situation.
Police also discovered her driver’s license was canceled, marked as inimical to public safety. She was taken to Becker County Jail.
At her June 23 hearing, Judge Michael Fritz set bail at $20,000 without conditions, $10,000 non-cash with conditions, and $1,000 cash with conditions.
