Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Amber Rose Greene, 44, of Detroit Lakes, faces multiple charges including felony terroristic threats, gross misdemeanor for carrying a BB gun in public, and misdemeanor fifth-degree assault. On July 25, Detroit Lakes police were called to Taco John’s where Greene was found with a BB gun that resembled a pistol.
The incident began when Greene and another woman were nearly struck by a truck. An argument followed, during which Greene allegedly displayed the BB gun but did not remove it from her bag. Greene later claimed she showed the BB gun out of fear of being assaulted by the truck driver.
The driver and passenger reported that Greene and her companion were walking in the middle of the road, causing the driver to maneuver around them. Greene then reportedly punched the truck and brandished the BB gun, threatening the driver. Evidence, including marks on the truck and witness statements, supported this account.
Greene’s bail was set at $20,000 with conditions, including no possession of firearms. Her next court appearance is scheduled for August 19 before District Judge Gretchen Thilmony.
