Detroit Lakes (trfnews.i234.me) — Waldren Roger Lacroix, 48, of Moorhead, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony theft following a coordinated theft at Walmart in Detroit Lakes.
On December 3, 2023, Lacroix and two accomplices entered Walmart around 6:35 a.m. Surveillance footage revealed Lacroix filling a cart with over $1,400 worth of merchandise, including trail cameras, knives, camping gear, toys, and holiday items. He exited the fire door near the cosmetics section with the stolen goods, leaving behind a trail camera. The group loaded the items into their green Pontiac sedan and fled, but some merchandise was recovered at the scene.
On March 17, Judge Gretchen Thilmony sentenced Lacroix to 21 months in prison at St. Cloud, concurrent with his current sentence in North Dakota. He must also pay restitution of $1,469.09 and $125 in court fines.
