DETROIT LAKES, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—A Detroit Lakes man, Craig Daniel Bellanger, is facing two felony charges after allegedly breaking into an apartment and violating a no-contact order, according to court documents.

On February 3 at 10:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Detroit Lakes apartment after a woman reported that someone had entered her home without permission. The victim told police she had previously allowed Bellanger to stay at the apartment due to cold weather, but he was not supposed to be there anymore. She was unsure how he got inside and said that he woke her up asking for liquor.

Police located Bellanger a block away from the residence and arrested him on the spot.

He is now facing felony charges of burglary and violating a no-contact order.

This case highlights ongoing concerns about home security and domestic-related offenses in the area.
