DETROIT LAKES — A 36-year-old man from Detroit Lakes was hospitalized after a collision between his bicycle and a Chevrolet Tahoe on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The incident took place around 4:12 p.m. at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Frazee Street in Detroit Lakes.
According to the Detroit Lakes Police Department, witnesses reported that the bicyclist collided with the side of the Tahoe, driven by a 62-year-old man, also from Detroit Lakes. Emergency services transported the injured bicyclist to receive medical care, though the extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation as authorities look to piece together the events leading up to the collision.
