Deer Collision on Highway 1 Injures Oakes Motorcyclist

Crash Narrative:

Anthony Moser was northbound on Highway 1 near MM 3.5 when he encountered a deer crossing the roadway. Moser, operating a 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle, struck the deer. The impact caused Moser to be separated from the motorcycle, coming to rest in the roadway. The motorcycle, with the deer still attached, came to rest on the southbound shoulder.

Moser was initially transported to Oakes Hospital by Oakes Ambulance. He was then airlifted by Sanford Life Flight to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
