Deadly Speed: A High-Speed Crash Claims a Life in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (trfnews.i234.me)On Wednesday evening at approximately 9:15 p.m., a multi-vehicle collision occurred near downtown Minneapolis. The incident involved an SUV driven by Talon Walker, which crashed into several vehicles as it exited the ramp from I-94 east onto Lyndale Avenue.

Preliminary investigation suggests that Walker was operating his vehicle with a revoked license and had an open container of alcohol at the time of the crash. His speed is estimated to have exceeded 100 miles per hour prior to impact.

As a result, multiple individuals were injured in the incident. Unfortunately, one fatality occurred: Natalie Gubbay, who succumbed to her injuries. A passenger in Walker’s vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries.

Other victims ranged in age from two years old to 62 years old and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Following an investigation by law enforcement, Talon Walker was charged with one count of criminal vehicular homicide on Thursday morning.

The Minneapolis Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward. The case remains under active investigation.”
