David James Jacobsen Arrested in Cass County After Fleeing West Fargo Police

WEST FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – On January 20, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., West Fargo Police officers observed a suspicious vehicle at the Circle K gas station located at 1210 13th Avenue East. The driver appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel.

Upon attempting to initiate contact, the driver, identified as 42-year-old David James Jacobsen of Moorhead, Minnesota, fled the scene. Officers deployed stop sticks, which Jacobsen drove over, leading to a brief pursuit eastbound on 13th Avenue East. The pursuit concluded when officers executed a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver to halt the vehicle.

Jacobsen was arrested and charged with felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and multiple outstanding warrants. The vehicle was seized due to its use in fleeing law enforcement. No injuries were reported among emergency personnel, the suspect, or bystanders.
