CROW WING COUNTY: Family Injured in Crash on Hwy 371 Near Pequot Lakes – trfnews.i234.me

PEQUOT LAKES, MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) – A Chevy Cobalt collided with a trailer being pulled by a Chevy Silverado during a midday crash on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, along Highway 371 and County Road 29 in Crow Wing County.

Authorities say the Silverado, driven by 16-year-old Brak Schramm of Pequot Lakes, was making a left turn when the southbound Cobalt, driven by 65-year-old Peter Borman of Backus, was unable to stop and struck the trailer.

Four passengers were in the Cobalt:

  • Hunter Borman, 10, and Melissa Borman, 40, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Essentia St. Joe in Brainerd.

  • Maverick Borman, 9, and the driver were uninjured.

The Silverado driver was also uninjured.

Emergency response included Crow Wing County SO, Pequot Lakes PD, Nisswa PD & Fire, and North Ambulance.
