CROOKSTON (trfnews.i234.me) – A Crookston man is facing felony drug charges after authorities say methamphetamine was found in a vehicle stopped near Riverside/Wildflower Garden Park.
According to court records, Issac James Tuseth, 37, has been charged with third-degree controlled substance crime – possession in a prohibited zone. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Police say the incident occurred on July 29, 2025, when officers stopped a vehicle for traffic violations within 300 feet of Riverside/Wildflower Garden Park. Authorities say Tuseth was a passenger in the vehicle, along with two other men. During the stop, officers allegedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and prescription stimulants inside the car.
Court documents state Tuseth exhibited signs of drug impairment at the time of the stop. He reportedly refused to provide a blood or urine sample after a warrant was obtained.
Tuseth has prior convictions for driving while impaired and theft, and also has active warrants in North Dakota, according to the complaint.
The case remains under investigation, and Tuseth is currently being held in the Polk County Jail.
