According to the criminal complaint, deputies were called on Feb. 2 after a woman overdosed and survived.
The complaint says the overdose involved cocaine.
Investigators later executed a search warrant at a rural residence near Crookston.

What investigators say they found
Court documents say deputies seized about 518 grams of suspected cocaine.
They also reported about 69 grams of suspected MDMA with packaging.
They reported 292 dosage units of LSD.
They also reported about 1,500 grams of suspected hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Investigators also reported about 3,600 grams of suspected marijuana.
Authorities also reported finding $1,300 in cash and two handguns.
Interview details in the complaint
The defendant is identified as Alex Oliver Kaiser, of Crookston.
A deputy interviewed Kaiser after advising him of his rights, the complaint says.
Kaiser said the room searched was his bedroom, according to the complaint.
He said the items in that room were his, the complaint says.
Kaiser also said he had sold marijuana for a couple of years.
He said most customers were from Crookston.
The complaint says Kaiser admitted to using cocaine earlier that day.
He also said he shared cocaine with family and friends.
The complaint says he told investigators this happened a couple of times a week.
Kaiser also said most sharing happened inside the residence.
He said he had used cocaine for about five years, the complaint says.
He also mentioned that MDMA and LSD might be found in the room.
The complaint says Kaiser told deputies he obtained cocaine from the Twin Cities area.
He said he paid about $19,000 in cash for the cocaine, the complaint says.
The complaint also says the woman who overdosed used cocaine with him the day before.
Charges and next steps
Kaiser is charged with first-degree sale of a controlled substance.
He is also charged with first-degree possession of cocaine.
He is also charged with third-degree sale of a controlled substance.
He also faces a gross misdemeanor count tied to firearm or ammunition possession.

The third-degree count lists a maximum penalty of up to 20 years.
