Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) — Prosecutors say a Crookston overdose case sparked two major investigations.
Crookston overdose probe leads to Fertile drug charges
Chase William Donaldson, 28, of Fertile, is charged with three felonies.
He faces two counts of first-degree controlled substance crime.
He also faces one count of conspiracy to commit a first-degree controlled substance crime.
The charges cite Minn. Stat. § 152.021.
The criminal complaint says the case began after a non-fatal overdose in Crookston.
Investigators say the overdose happened on February 1, 2026.
The victim was taken to RiverView Health, according to the complaint.
The investigation was led by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies later executed a search warrant at a Crookston residence linked to Alex Oliver Lee Kaiser.
The complaint lists these items seized:
- About 518 grams of suspected cocaine.
- About 69 grams of suspected MDMA.
- Suspected LSD.
- More than 1.5 kilograms of suspected hallucinogenic mushrooms.
- Multiple firearms.
Deputies then executed a second warrant in Fertile on February 4, 2026.
The complaint ties that search to a home on the 45600 block of Center Avenue South.
Prosecutors say the search produced suspected cocaine, marijuana, mushrooms, and firearms.
The complaint also describes a digital scale with white residue.
It lists two Mason jars with suspected cocaine.
Field tests reportedly came back positive for cocaine.
The complaint says the total weight was about 72 grams.
Court records list an alleged offense date of February 4, 2026.
The case was filed on February 11, 2026.
All charges are allegations.

Blaine police sting leads to felony prostitution charge
Ryan Michael Rosillo, 24, of Minneapolis, is charged in Anoka County.
He faces one felony count under Minn. Stat. § 609.324.
Blaine police say the case came from a targeted operation.
The operation ran on September 3 and 4, 2025, according to the complaint.
Police say Rosillo answered a decoy ad on a commercial sex website.
Investigators say messages told him the person was 17.
The complaint says he still agreed to meet.
Police say he offered $200 for one hour.
He was arrested at the arranged location, the complaint says.
Court records list an alleged offense date of September 4, 2025.
The case was filed on January 27, 2026.
