The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-
Kelly Leon Plutowski, 63, of Ardoch, North Dakota, for third-degree DUI.
Russel Jerome Fahlstrom, 29, of Laporte, Minnesota, for kidnapping and committing great bodily harm or terrorizing another.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
4/27/2024
At 9:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Sargent St for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that cooking had caused the alarm to activate. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and then cleared the scene.
At 12:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 600 block of Bruce St for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, there was smoke present, and it was found to be from cooking. The CFD evacuated and ventilated the building. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
4/28/2024
At 8:25 a.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of US Hwy 2 and 160th Ave SW for a report of a one-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the CFD assisted with traffic control and assisted the responding tow service. The CFD then cleared the scene.
