Lakota & Mahnomen Co. ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Breaking news tonight from both North Dakota and Minnesota as emergency crews responded to two separate highway crashes. Viewer video and photos show the first incident near Lakota, about 60 miles west of Grand Forks.
The North Dakota crash occurred on Highway 2 at the intersection of Highway 1. Early images show a semi-truck in the ditch, with another vehicle also possibly involved. Nelson County deputies and the North Dakota Highway Patrol were on scene. Details about possible injuries have not yet been released.
The second incident happened in Mahnomen County, Minnesota. Crews responded to Highway 200, west of Mahnomen and close to the Norman County line. Reports from the scene indicate that at least one vehicle was in the ditch. Emergency responders were heard calling for the jaws of life, suggesting a possible extrication was required.
Traffic was slowed in both areas as authorities worked the crash scenes. At this time, officials have not released additional details, including the number of people involved or the extent of injuries. Both investigations remain ongoing.
