Crash Involving Train and Pickup Truck Claims Lives of Two Boys with Third in Critical Condition near Williston, North Dakota

WILLISTON, ND (trfnews.i234.me) Two boys were killed and the driver is in critical condition after their pickup was struck by an Amtrak train Monday evening northeast of Williston, North Dakota.
two juvenile boys are dead and the 17 year old male driver is in critical condition after their pickup was struck by an Amtrak train Northeast of Williston by Spring Brook on Monday evening the patrol says this happened at 8 17 p.m a silver Dodge Ram pickup driven by a 17 year old male from Williston was traveling on 57th Street Northwest pickup approached a marked railroad crossing no arms the pickup failed to yield to an Amtrak train coming from Williston going to Stanley the Amtrak train collided with the pickup pushing down the tracks for a short distance before the pickup was pushed off the tracks the driver 17 year old male is in critical condition and was transferred to a Minot Hospital 15 year old male passenger pronounced dead at the scene in 15 17 year old male passenger pronounced dead at williston’s hospital due to the extent of injuries sustained in the crash it remains under investigation I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me

  1. So tragic! People, this is why railroad safety is so incredibly important! It’s never the trains fault when accidents like this happen. Motorists have to remember that they are always the ones responsible to stop and yield at all railroad crossings. Trains are huge and cannot stop for you. I’m praying for the families who lost their dear loved ones and also for the engineer and crew of the train who are now probably traumatized by this. Sending lots of prayers for them all. 💔
