SCANDIA VALLEY TOWNSHIP, MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) – A morning collision involving a straight truck and a Dodge Ram pickup pulling a trailer resulted in one person being injured in Morrison County.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:19 a.m. on June 18, on Highway 10 near 330th Street. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2023 International straight truck tried to pass a 2002 Dodge Ram with a trailer, but instead struck the rear of the trailer, sending both vehicles into the right ditch.

Samuel Joseph Yorek, a 47-year-old passenger in the Dodge Ram, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lakewood Hospital in Staples. The driver, Daniel Prokott, and all occupants of the straight truck were uninjured.

The road was dry at the time, and no alcohol was involved. Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Ambulance, and Scandia Valley Fire assisted at the scene.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.
