COVID-19, Homelessness, and Domestic Violence Survivors in North Dakota

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) The State of North Dakota is now providing shelter for folks who are homeless or fleeing domestic violence and test positive for COVID-19 or need to be quarantined.
Neil Berg here at the Northlands rescue mission in Grand Forks on a Saturday it’s a homeless shelter the state of North Dakota has now stepped up to create temporary shelters across the state for vulnerable adults who test positive for covet night teen or need to be quarantined that includes those who are fleeing domestic violence to access the temporary shelter program individuals must be referred by a homeless shelter domestic violence shelter hospital Public Health Unit or partner agency a local Human Services zone office will work with directly with homeless individuals our families referred to the program shelter location information will not be provided due to health-related privacy concerns and safety considerations again some participants are fleeing domestic violence I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV
