Collision in Grand Forks County: Distracted Driver Rear-Ends School Bus – No Injuries Reported

Grand Forks CountyA potentially tragic accident was narrowly avoided late Thursday afternoon at the intersection of 42nd Street and DeMers Avenue. A school bus carrying two students was rear-ended by a car driven by a college-aged female. According to Sergeant Florine of the Grand Forks Police Department, the driver dropped an item on the floor of her vehicle and, while attempting to retrieve it, collided with the back of the bus. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the students or the driver. The driver received a traffic citation for the incident.
