ANOKA, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – A student was stabbed in the hand with a screwdriver during an incident on Tuesday afternoon at Anoka Technical College. Authorities were dispatched early in the day and took an adult male into custody.
According to reports from the college’s spokesperson, officers responded quickly after being notified of the stabbing. The injured student was taken to the hospital for treatment by security officers who provided initial care before transporting them to receive further medical attention.
The Anoka Technical College released a statement emphasizing that safety and security are top priorities on campus:
Just before noon today, an incident occurred between two students at Anoka Technical College in the automotive lab resulting in one of the students receiving an injury to the hand. The Anoka Police Department responded and took the suspect into custody.
The college further stated: “At Anoka Technical College our top priority is the safety and security of everyone on campus.” This incident is being investigated by both the college administration and local law enforcement, with support services available for students and employees affected by this situation.
