Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Cole William Halverson, 21, of Lake Park, has been charged in Becker County District Court with two felonies: domestic assault and failing to register as a predatory offender.

According to court records, an altercation occurred between Cole Halverson and his father at their home. The details are as follows: Cole Halverson entered the garage where his father was located and became upset. He then dragged his father to the ground and punched him in the face. When the victim attempted to get up, Cole Halverson continued to punch him in the ribs.

A witness reported hearing a commotion from inside the garage and observed both individuals on the ground before intervening.

During the booking process at the jail, it was discovered that Cole Halverson had failed to comply with his address requirements as a registered predatory offender. His profile indicated he should be residing at Twin Town Treatment Center in West Saint Paul; however, records showed he had been discharged and dropped off at their residence on September 17.
