MOORHEAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Vanessa C. Newton of Moorhead is facing serious criminal charges after allegedly attacking a man. According to court documents, on July 10th, officers responded to multiple 911 calls from a Moorhead apartment where a man was heard screaming for help. The victim had knife wounds on his hand and forearm. He reported that Newton became upset because she couldn’t find cocaine. She then allegedly punched him 10 times, grabbed a knife, and threatened to kill him, eventually swinging the knife and cutting him. Newton is now charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor domestic assault.
