DEER RIVER, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Two men are in custody after the Itasca County Sheriff’s office seized drugs and exotic animals from a home in Deer River, Minnesota.
Black Mamba’s meth and Moore seized in Deer River, Minnesota. This in from the Sh It Itaska County Sheriff’s Office August 27th in partnership with the AIM violent crime enforcement team, Deer River Police and other agencies. They executed a court authorized search warrant at a residence in Deer River, 510 Fourth Street Southeast. The warrant execution was the result of an ongoing investigation involving suspected nar narcotics, illegal possession of firearms. During the search, deputies uncovered the following items of evidence. A stolen Glock 45 handgun with over 60 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Controlled substances approximately 1.5 grams of meth and paraphernalia. Exotic animals. Multiple dangerous reptiles and exotic species including cobras, a green mamba, a b constrictor, tarantulas, and other venomous animals were secured in coordination with the reptile rescue for public safety. Two individuals, Courtney John Edstrom, 39, of Nathan, Minnesota, and Casey Ray Huro, 34, of Maple Lake, Minnesota, were taken into custody. Charges are currently pending. The operation was supported by multiple units including K-9 officers, Deer River police, Itasca sheriff’s deputies.
