Clearwater County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A young Bagley man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday morning near that town. According to the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, the accident was reported at 7:40 a.m. on Motor Avenue Southwest in Bagley.

Deputies arrived to find a vehicle on its roof on the south side of Tower Avenue Southwest, about a quarter mile south of Highway 2. Investigators say the vehicle appeared to have lost control while entering a curve, left the road, and rolled.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old James Johnson of Bagley, was ejected during the crash. Bagley Sanford Ambulance responded and transported Johnson to Bagley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Minnesota State Patrol assisted at the scene as the investigation continues. Officials have not indicated whether road or weather conditions played a role. No other vehicles were involved.

Authorities extended condolences to the family and community members impacted by the tragedy. More information about Minnesota traffic safety can be found at the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
