Clay County — Woman Arrested for DANCO Violation in Dilworth

Clay County (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities in Dilworth, Minnesota have arrested Stephanie Anne Smith, age 36, for allegedly violating a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) on the afternoon of March 28, 2025.

Smith was taken into custody by the Dilworth Police Department and booked into the Clay County Jail. DANCOs are court-issued orders intended to protect victims of domestic abuse from further contact with the alleged offender. Violating such an order is a criminal offense and can result in jail time, fines, and additional charges depending on prior history.

Details on the incident, including the individual protected by the order and the circumstances of the violation, have not yet been released by law enforcement.
