Clay County (trfnews.i234.me) — A 44-year-old woman, Susan Kathleen Rommesmo, has been booked by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office following a March 27, 2025 arrest. She now faces serious legal trouble after being charged with 5th Degree Controlled Substance Sale – Schedule IV.

Schedule IV drugs include commonly prescribed medications such as Xanax, Valium, and Ativan, which can be dangerous and addictive when illegally distributed or abused. Though considered a lesser drug felony in comparison to higher degrees, 5th-degree drug sales are still felonies in Minnesota and carry potential prison time and fines.

Rommesmo’s arrest is another reminder of law enforcement’s ongoing crackdown on the illegal sale of prescription medication in the region.
