Clay County (trfnews.i234.me) — Tamorris McQuill Dempsey, age 46, was arrested by the Moorhead Police Department on August 8, 2024, at 12:22 AM in connection to a violent series of crimes.
Dempsey faces the following serious charges:

1st Degree Burglary – Commit Assault

2nd Degree Assault with Dangerous Weapon (x3)

2nd Degree Murder – Intentional, Not Premeditated

Possess Firearm / Ammunition – Convicted of Violent Crime
Authorities allege that Dempsey forced entry into a property and committed multiple assaults using a dangerous weapon, culminating in a 2nd Degree Murder charge. Dempsey, who has a prior violent crime conviction, is also accused of illegally possessing a firearm or ammunition.
He is currently held pending a court appearance in what is considered a high-priority case.
