Morehead, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A Moorhead man is facing serious criminal charges after a terrifying encounter with his roommate.

According to the statement of probable cause, on June 3rd at 5:05 p.m., police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of 7th Avenue South. The reporting party told officers that when he tried to enter his room, his roommate, Drew Matthew Steiner, blocked the door and sent threatening notes underneath it, including one that read, “I’ll try kill you if you come in and it’s not working out.”

The victim also claimed Steiner was holding a large cutting knife. Officers later made entry, arrested Steiner, and found a kitchen knife with a silver blade and black handle in the sink.

Drew Steiner now faces felony charges of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and threats of violence.
