Clay County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – On Monday, April 21, 2025, a high-speed pursuit unfolded on Interstate 94 in Clay County, leading to the arrest of 23-year-old Cole Meadows from Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. Meadows was wanted in connection with a burglary in Anoka County and was believed to be armed.
Around 3:20 p.m., the Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from an Anoka County detective about a stolen vehicle being tracked in their jurisdiction. Deputies spotted the vehicle traveling at high speeds on I-94 and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to comply, initiating a pursuit during which stop sticks were deployed twice.
The chase concluded when Meadows exited the interstate onto State Highway 336 and fled on foot. A K9 unit named Cash was deployed, successfully apprehending Meadows. During a subsequent search, K9 Cash located a handgun believed to have been discarded by Meadows during his flight.
Meadows was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for medical evaluation before being booked into the Clay County Correctional Facility. He faces multiple charges, including felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing on foot, and driving after revocation.
Two passengers in the vehicle were detained at the scene but were later released without charges.
