Clay County (trfnews.i234.me) — In a developing case, Kevin James Dumont, 23, was booked by Moorhead Police after being charged with a disturbing series of violent offenses. These include violating a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) twice, committing domestic assault with a threat or weapon, fleeing on foot, and illegally possessing a firearm following a violent crime conviction.

Given the severity and number of repeat offenses, Dumont could face significant prison time and felony-level penalties under Minnesota law.

Under Minnesota law, DANCO violations within 10 years of multiple convictions can be charged as gross misdemeanors or felonies, especially when paired with firearm violations or domestic assault threats.
