Clay County (trfnews.i234.me), Moorhead, Minnesota – A Devils Lake, North Dakota man is facing a serious sex crime charge after an alleged incident involving a juvenile girl at a Moorhead bus stop.

According to the statement of probable cause, Moorhead police were dispatched to 1901 First Avenue North on July 29 following reports of a disturbance. Witnesses reported that a male suspect had touched a juvenile female’s legs and buttocks at the bus stop in front of the location.

The suspect was described as a Native American male with missing teeth, approximately 5’5” tall and 150 pounds, wearing black pants.

When officers arrived, a complainant stated he had been at the bus stop with his two children when he saw the suspect inappropriately touching his daughter’s legs. He confronted the man, asking, “What the f*** are you doing?” before taking his children inside Churches United and calling law enforcement.

Interviews with the children revealed that the suspect allegedly asked them for hugs. After hugging one child, he hugged the other and then ran his hands down the victim’s buttocks and legs.

The suspect, identified as Rodney Lee Paul of Devils Lake, North Dakota, has been charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving contact with a victim under 14. No booking photo is currently available.
