Moorhead, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On Sunday, April 13, at 9:32 a.m., the Moorhead Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the 2700 block of 14th Street South. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity. The suspect was observed fleeing the scene in a newer-model, light green Chevrolet midsize SUV. The individual is considered armed and dangerous.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been called in to assist with the investigation. Police have stated that early information suggests this was not a random act.
The public is advised to avoid the area as the crime scene remains active. Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle is urged to contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at (701) 451-7660 and request to speak with a Moorhead Police supervisor.
