Clay County (trfnews.i234.me) – TRF News has learned that a Moorhead man is facing multiple charges after an early morning incident in Fargo. Damon Lamar Pippen of Moorhead is accused of assaulting an officer and possessing drugs.
According to court documents, the incident occurred on September 16 at 2:59 a.m. An officer noticed a man standing beside a pickup truck with its passenger door open behind an Exxon station on 34th Street South in Fargo. The officer reported seeing a meth pipe sticking out of the man’s pocket.
When officers attempted to detain Pippen, he allegedly punched one of them and fled the scene. He was soon located and arrested. Officers say he had meth at the time of arrest.
Pippen is now charged with two felonies: simple assault and preventing arrest. He also faces two misdemeanor charges, including providing false information to law enforcement and drug possession. The case is moving forward in Cass County District Court.
