Clay Co. Man Arrested After Moorhead Stabbing

Clay County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A stabbing in Moorhead sent one man to the hospital and led to an arrest on Tuesday morning. Police say the incident happened around 9:15 a.m. in the 300 block of 16th Street North.

According to the Moorhead Police Department, the suspect was identified as 37-year-old Joshua Carney of Moorhead. Carney allegedly stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers quickly located him and took him into custody without incident.

Carney was transported to the Clay County Jail, where he is being held pending formal charges of felony second-degree assault. Investigators say Carney and the victim knew each other.

The victim was transported by Sanford Ambulance to a local hospital with a serious stab wound. His current condition has not been released.
