Saint Anthony, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A young child was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head on Thursday evening, May 15, 2025, following an incident at the Equinox Apartments in Saint Anthony.
According to the Saint Anthony Police Department, a 911 hang-up call was received just before 6:40 p.m. from the 2500 block of Silver Lane, where the Equinox Apartments are located. Dispatchers noted sounds of commotion in the background, including someone stating a hospital was needed. Officers arrived within two minutes but found no one in need of assistance and no signs of a disturbance.
Approximately 30 minutes later, around 7:08 p.m., police were notified that a child had arrived at a local hospital with what was initially reported as an accidental gunshot wound to the head. Detectives interviewed two adults who stated they were near the child when the gun discharged. Investigators determined that the shooting occurred inside a vehicle parked outside the Equinox Apartments.
The child was admitted for medical treatment. As of publication, no additional updates have been provided on their condition.
