Child, five, fatally mauled by dog on Spirit Lake Reservation

tragic news coming out of the spirit lake nation south of devils lake north dakota at fort totten a young boy was killed in a dog attack it happened late sunday afternoon just west of the four winds school in the walking eagle circle housing development in a phone interview a person with close knowledge of the incident says the victim was a five-year-old boy whose sixth birthday would have been this friday apparently adults heard screaming and chased away as many as three dogs that had attacked the boy who was pronounced dead after being taken by a private vehicle to meet a devil’s lake ambulance i’m told a person was hired on monday to go around the reservation and pick up stray dogs check back later today we’ll have more information as it becomes available i’m neil carlson reporting for inews dot tv
