AUSTIN, Mower County (trfnews.i234.me) – A two-vehicle crash along westbound Interstate 90 near 4th Street NW in Austin, Minnesota, resulted in one man being hospitalized Thursday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 12:47 p.m. on June 5, 2025. A 2025 Kenworth semi, driven by 59-year-old James Arthur Ward of Roland, Iowa, and a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 62-year-old Michael William Kiesler of Waseca, Minnesota, were both traveling west when the crash happened.
Kiesler suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Ward was not injured. Road conditions were dry, and no alcohol was involved.
The Austin Police and Fire departments, along with Mayo Ambulance, responded to the scene.
