MOORHEAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Charges have been filed against Tamorris Dempsey of Fargo in connection with a Wednesday evening shootout in Moorhead, Minnesota. Dempsey faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, three counts of assault, burglary, and possession of a firearm as a felon.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident occurred on August 7th at approximately 7:06 p.m. The Moorhead Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near 1020 14th Street South. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a two-tone van driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
The confrontation reportedly began when Dempsey, who had a previous dispute over the care of a dog, arrived at the home of the victims and began pounding on the door. An argument ensued, leading to a physical altercation. Dempsey allegedly instructed his son, Mares Dempsey, to retrieve a firearm from their vehicle. As the situation escalated, gunfire was exchanged between Dempsey and one of the residents. Law enforcement later found multiple shell casings at the scene. No injuries were reported.
