GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – 28-year-old Samira Ali from Grand Forks is confronting a series of serious charges following an incident where she allegedly fled from an officer with a child in her car. According to court documents, on May 10th, police responded to a report of a person found unconscious behind the wheel in a Grand Forks parking lot. Upon arrival, they discovered Ali slumped over the steering wheel with a child in the back seat. When an officer approached and requested her to lower the window, she accelerated away, hitting the officer with the door as it swung open. Later located at 3538 11th Avenue North, Ali attempted to evade arrest by jumping out of a window and resisting when apprehended. She now faces charges including reckless endangerment, fleeing, simple assault, child neglect, preventing arrest, driving under the influence with a minor present, and driving under suspension.
