Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Marsha Lynn Warren, 57, of rural Waubun, has had a felony charge of making terrorist threats dismissed in Becker County District Court. The charge stemmed from an incident on July 27, 2023, when White Earth police were informed by the victim, identified by the initials K.I.W., that Warren had threatened to shoot them with a 30.06 rifle.
Police visited a residence in rural Ogema, where Warren and the homeowner were present. Warren admitted owning a 30.06 rifle, and the homeowner corroborated the claim that Warren had expressed an intention to shoot K.I.W.
Defense attorney Rich Kenly filed a motion on April 24, arguing that the court file did not support probable cause for the charge of terroristic threats under state statute 609.713.1. On May 31, the Becker County Attorney’s Office dismissed the charge, citing prosecutorial discretion.
