we had a wild arrest in Detroit Lakes Minnesota late Monday afternoon according to court records at 503 P.M Monday Detroit Lakes officers responded to a report of suspicious activities of an adult male reportedly breaking into a vehicle with a screwdriver nobody was by the vehicle when officers arrived they got back and then a male got into the driver’s seat officers approached the vehicle and told them to roll down the windows the suspect put the car into reverse and backed into a squad car an officer then broke out a back window with a baton and told the driver to exit again that’s when a social media post here picks up a bit of the action here that suspect now identified as 41 year old Donald Jeffrey helps of Fergus Falls uh was sprayed with a chemical irritant uh before officers drug him out of the car and put him under arrest he’s now charged with four felonies possession of firearms following conviction of a crime of violence two counts of receiving stolen property firearms and a vehicle and obstruction of the legal process a search of the vehicle found four shotguns a rifle and a safe with 700 in it along with other items all had been reported as stolen in an earlier burglary I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
