Champlin Tragedy: Unrestrained Driver Killed Instantly in High-Speed Crash on Hwy 169

Champlin, Hennepin County (trfnews.i234.me) — A devastating single-vehicle crash in the early morning hours of March 23, 2025, has claimed the life of a 35-year-old Anoka man, after his vehicle careened off the roadway and smashed into a light pole on Highway 169 in Champlin, Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:50 a.m. when a 2010 Chrysler 300, traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 169, left the roadway near Dean Avenue and struck a light pole at the intersection of West River Road.

📍 Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene. Officers and EMS found the driver unresponsive, and despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead on site.

  • Name: Adonis Raven Turner

  • Age: 35

  • Residence: Anoka, MN

  • Seatbelt: Not in use at the time of crash

  • Airbag Deployment: Yes

  • Alcohol Involvement: Unknown at this time

  • Injuries: Fatal

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Turner was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
