Caught on Camera! Mahnomen Woman Accused of Brazen Dollar General Theft in Polk County – trfnews.i234.me

Fosston (trfnews.i234.me) – A shocking case of retail theft has surfaced in Fosston, Minnesota, where April Joy Thompson, 43, of Mahnomen is facing charges after being caught on camera allegedly stealing from Dollar General.

According to a citation filed by the Fosston Police Department, the incident occurred on March 28, 2025, at 410 1st Street East. Surveillance footage reportedly shows Thompson placing items into her purse and clothing before walking out of the store, still holding additional merchandise in her hands, without paying.

The charge filed is a misdemeanor for theft under Minnesota Statute 609.52.2(a)(1) for taking movable property without consent. Thompson was not fingerprinted. The ticket was issued by Officer Mary Olson and mailed on April 1, 2025. She was driving a 2016 orange Ford Escape, which was noted in the citation vehicle summary.

This case is being prosecuted by the Fosston City Attorney.
