Cat Survives Being Tossed from 12-Story Balcony in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – An investigation is ongoing after reports that a cat was thrown from a 12th-floor balcony of a Minneapolis apartment. Rue, a year-old tabby and white cat, survived the fall thanks to a series of surgeries. Her injuries included two broken legs and fractures in her lower jaw.

According to thirdhand reports, Rue was a neighbor’s cat that they no longer wanted. Minneapolis Animal Care and Control Director Tony Shendel stated that the investigation has not yet identified any witnesses who saw the cat being thrown. While a juvenile on the scene provided some details about what potentially occurred, these accounts have not been corroborated. Officials indicate that such an act against an animal would constitute a criminal felony, but there is currently no evidence to prove that a crime took place.
