Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Cass Lake man with a lengthy criminal record is now facing a felony DWI after allegedly driving under the influence of Schedule I or II drugs—including suspected fentanyl—while having a license canceled as inimical to public safety.
According to the complaint, John David Iverson, 45, was stopped by Officer Warren of the Bemidji Police Department on May 30, 2025. Iverson, who refused sobriety testing, admitted that marijuana and other substances were likely in his system. A search warrant was executed for his blood, and suspected fentanyl was found in the backseat.
Iverson has three prior impaired driving incidents in the last ten years:
