Cass Lake, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — Logan Neil Obrien, 32, of Cass Lake, is facing new DWI charges.

Leech Lake Tribal Police say they stopped Obrien near Log Jammerz Bar on February 3, 2026.

They report his breath test later showed a 0.15 BAC.

Traffic Stop

Court papers say an officer was parked on 69th Avenue near the bar.

The officer saw a truck with a loud exhaust pass by.

The officer also found an expired registration.

Records show it expired in August 2025.

The officer stopped the truck and identified the driver as Logan Neil Obrien.

A records check said his license was canceled as inimical to public safety.

Signs of Impairment

The officer reported a strong odor of alcohol.

Police say he failed field sobriety tests.

The report cites eye clues and poor balance.

A roadside breath test read 0.166, according to the complaint.

Police then took Obrien to the Tribal Police Department.

A later breath test there read 0.15, the complaint says.

Charges and Court

Prosecutors charged Obrien with two counts of felony first-degree DWI.

He also faces one gross misdemeanor count for driving after cancellation.

Court records say he has three prior DWI convictions in the last ten years.

Those priors are listed in Hubbard, Cass, and Beltrami counties.

They date from 2017 through 2023, the complaint says.

Bail was set by Judge Jana Austad.

The order listed $1,000 cash with conditions.

It also listed a $50,000 bond option without conditions.
