Cass Lake, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — A Cass Lake woman is facing charges after a reported arrest incident on Feb. 20.
Leah Renee Jacobs, of Cass Lake, is charged with felony assault of a peace officer. She is also charged with misdemeanor obstructing legal process.
What court documents say
According to a probable cause statement, a deputy was sent to a home to remove Jacobs. The report did not name the homeowner.
The deputy entered and saw Jacobs near a back door, documents say. The report says she turned and ran upstairs.
The deputy told Jacobs to stop, the report says. The deputy grabbed her arm and said she was under arrest.
Documents say Jacobs grabbed the stair railing and resisted. The deputy took control of her left arm. The deputy pulled her to the bottom step.
The report says Jacobs continued to resist. It says she sat down and tried to pull away.

Spitting allegation
While being escorted through the kitchen, Jacobs spit on the deputy, according to the report. The deputy reported feeling spit hit his cheek.
Breath test noted
Documents say Jacobs agreed to a preliminary breath test. The reported result was 0.174.
That number is above Minnesota’s 0.08 driving limit. The limit is explained by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Jacobs is not accused of driving in this case.
